Gharmura Range, under the Hailakandi Forest Division, organized a plantation drive and awareness program led by Forest Ranger Sanjay Kumar Ahir to celebrate the 76th Van Mahotsav, distributing saplings to promote local environmental sustainability.
In observance of the 76th Van Mahotsav, a week-long plantation and environmental awareness campaign was successfully conducted from July 1st to July 7th. The event was organized by the Gharmura Range, Gharmura, under the Hailakandi Forest Division, and spearheaded by Forest Ranger Sanjay Kumar Ahir, in collaboration with the Social Work & Development Foundation.
The initiative focused on community-led conservation, featuring the active participation of local forest officials, foundation representatives, and village residents. Under the guidance of Forest Ranger Sanjay Kumar Ahir, various varieties of fruit-bearing and economically viable saplings were distributed and planted across Gharmura Forest Village to enhance green cover and foster ecological responsibility within the community. The drive successfully reinforced the local commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.
